Testing email posting from cellphone

It just dawned on me that 1) I hardly ever post anything here, and 2) I've never tried to submit a post from the cellphone. Silly, really, because most of the bloggable thoughts and ideas that I get occur far away from computers with Internet connection and thus slip into oblivion before I get around to typing them in anywhere.

Cellphones are neat in that way. Admittedly, they are more like PDA's nowadays, with calendar and appointment managers, notes, games, alarm clock and email. As well as camera capable of both acceptable still snaps and video, music player and radio. The ability to make actual phone calls seems like more or less an afterthought.

With a bit of patience (and durable fingers) you could easily type a whole book on your cellphone. And email it to your publisher, and receive the inevitable rejection email as well.

So with all those fantastic things I can do with my cellphone, I've never even thought about this: to write blog posts on it. So here goes! Interesting writing? Hardly. But it amuses me, and that's what counts ;-)
